Know about The Crafty Rat!

What Type Of Materials Do You Use?

For my earrings, keychains, and desk trinkets, I use Scupley 3 Clay and liquid Sculpey. Including the sprinkles

For the jewelry parts, I just buy a bulk of dangle earrings, post backings, keychains, and eye pins off Amazon.

For my stickers, I use Vinyl Sticker paper, Avery laminating sheets, and a Cricut to cut them out!

And for my bookmarks, I use two-part clear resin and flowers hand-picked from Washington State!

How should I care for my item?

It depends on the item!

Desk trinkets can be kept on your desk or on a shelf. Just watch out for those cats who want to chew them!

Earrings: If they are little posts, you can wear them to bed and in the pool; just be careful and watch out if the Sculpey glue starts to deteriorate. If it's a bulkier post, I'd suggest watching out for long hair, and don't wear them for a long amount of time.

For the dangling earrings: If they are on the thinner-longer side, do be careful how you store them, as they may break.

Keychains: Can be placed with/on keys; just maybe don't have about a million things for it to bump against and watch the eye pin, as it might come loose after long wear.

Why the Name Crafty Rat?

Well, I'm crafty! And I have rats!

But seriously, it was kinda just a fun name idea I had, and it stuck. When I joked with friends, they all agreed on The Crafty Rat for me, as I've been known to act like a pack rat, stowing stuff away for crafts, so that's how I got the name!

What's The Future Of The Crafty Rat?

Well, I hope to be able to mass-produce simple items like my stickers and coloring books later, so that I can focus more on my clay, making new things that are more durable.

Maybe even experiment with new ideas. Create plushies of my characters, get better at my art, and many other things.

Especially as I'm in the process of making my own card game! So that is a dream that I plan on making into reality one day!
